Paramount and Freeverse bring Days of Thunder to AppStore

Days of Thunder for iPhone

Earning an additional buck or two on the existing franchise is always a good business. Paramount knows that, hence they’ve partnered with Freeverse to bring the mobile game based on their once popular movie, Days of Thunder, to the Apple iPhone.

The good thing about this title is that it’s quite affordable, costing only a buck (for the opening weekend, at least). That, however, doesn’t mean it sucks. Quite the contrary or at least I may not be an expert for racing games. From what I can tell, Days of Thunder looks quite decent, allowing you to control the car by moving your iPhone/iPod Touch around, thanks to the built-in accelerometer.

There are 14 race cars to win/buy and 39 races, covering 12 unique tracks in six different circuits: Amateur, Qualifying, Semi-Pro, Pro, Superstar, and Endurance. As you progress through the Story Mode and earn achievements, you can unlock new tracks. In addition, five original music tracks are there to “enhance the action-packed gameplay.”

Wanna try it? Here’s a link to the AppStore with more screenshots.
