ZTE is preparing to launch a new member of its Blade smartphone series. Dubbed Blade C, the device is already available in China (and known as ZTE V889S), where users can buy one for 699 CNY (about $112). In other parts of the world, the same phone will be marked as V807 and T807, packing the same specs under the hood.

Speaking of which (specs), the Blade C comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) screen, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, 3-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1GHz MediaTek MTK 6577 dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, 4GB of internal memory, 1,600mAh battery, while Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is running the show. Yup, it’s the first Blade device that can “handle” the latest version of Android. Size wise, ZTE’s baby measures 124x64x11 mm.

We’ve no idea when ZTE will officially launch the Blade C though something tells us we’ll get more answers at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona…
