FOMA SIMPURE L2NTT DoCoMo unveiled yet-another stylish FOMA handset – the SIMPURE L2, designed by industrial/interior designer Gwenael Nicolas and manufactured by LG Electronics (I felt a bit of Chocolate in this device). As the name says – SIMPURE comes from “simple” and “pure” – this device is simple to use, and unlike other FOMA models, doesn’t sport all the fancy features. The FOMA SIMPURE L2 is also not among the thinnest of DoCoMo’s devices — it is 17.6 mm thick, and has a slider form factor.

In terms of built-in radios, DoCoMo’s new device promises to roam around the world on W-CDMA, GSM and GPRS networks. Its battery should deliver up to 140 minutes for continuous talk time and 90 minuted for continuous video calling time, while in a static continuous stand-by time, the SIMPURE L2 can be active along 350 hours or 200 hours in dynamic situation.

The FOMA SIMPURE L2 is expected to be released by the end of July, and will be available in royal black, silky white and nobel gold. It has dimensions of 98x48x17.6 mm and weighs 110g.
