NetGear’s PTV300 Miracast adapter recently got a new firmware update that makes it sing along more Android-based devices. Although support for Google’s mobile platform was introduced in version 2.2.7, the new firmware (version 2.2.9 – download from here) builds on top of that to include even more users. The list of supported smartphones and tablets now includes:

  • Samsung Galaxy S III (running Android 4.1.1 or above)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note II
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
  • LG Optimus G (with Android 4.0.4 or above)
  • Google Nexus 4 (Android 4.2.1)
  • various Sony Xperia models with Android 4.0.4 or above

In addition, this software release also includes some other changes which are all listed at AndroidCentral…

And if you’re not sure what’s Miracast all about, feel free to check this article at AndroidRAQ.
