UK: 855,000 phones dropped in toilets every year

It’s time for some weird stats. According to Britain’s price comparison site SimplySwitch, 855,000 phones are flushed down the toilet every year in the UK. To put it in the other words, 1.5% of the total UK population is apparently doing this. It’s kind a weird. Maybe it’s the result of their usage — few days ago we posted that Brits are using mobile phones in toilets to bypass office Internet restrictions.

More interesting phone-lost stats: 315,000 are lost in a taxi, 225,000 in a bus, 58,500 to dogs, and 116,000 phones are lost in the laundry. I wonder is this the prime reason why the mobile phone sales are growing. (via: gizmodo) 🙂
