TaxiFlasher is a neat app designed to help iPhone/iPod Touch users get a cab without yelling “Taxi, taxi” on the street. It’s a simple product which only flashes word TAXI on iPhone/iPod Touch’s big screen, making sure the driver sees it. By default, the word TAXI is displayed in big black letters on a yellow background alternating/flashing with the reverse, yellow letters on a black background. You can customize the display by picking your own color scheme, or even change the text. For instance, you could write such short words as “HELP,” “STOP,” “HI!!,” “HELLO,” “BUS” or “WTF?” and define how fast it should flash — from “slow” to “seizure.” Cool idea, although nothing that will drive your productivity through the roof, of course.
