Best Buy China denies rumour that it will stop selling Nokia phones

Wasn’t that quick! I mean the rumour is less than a day old. I love the internet.

BestBuy, the world’s number-one specialty retailer of consumer electronics, denied the rumor that Nokia had stopped its mobile phone supply to BestBuy.

BestBuy explained that it is the lack of stock as well as the great demands during the festival period that together lead to this sell-out. Presently, US-based BestBuy is not sure the time when this sell-out will be brought into an end.

Meanwhile, Nokia, the largest mobile phone maker in the world, also one of the parties in the rumor, denied this report with almost the same reasons as BestBuy.

The prices are all under strictly control of Nokia. It is true that Nokia allow a margin for retailers to adjust prices by themselves. However, the prices should not below Nokia’s minimum prices, said an insider.
