HTC Firestone render leaked?

htc-firestone-leak-renderThe HTC Hero and Touch Pro2 are the brightest stars in HTC’s smartphone portfolio, but there’s another Windows Mobile handset waiting for its time to shine. Meet (again) the HTC Firestone Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional smartphone! Previous rumors pointed to an August unveiling of this touchy-feely handset, and now that July is almost done and over with, a new Firestone render has been leaked.

We’re not sure if the render you see here is real or not, but if the HTC Firestone launches looking anything like this image, it’s sure to be a winner. Add to the Firestone’s impeccable looks a 3.6? WVGA touchscreen display, 8-megapixel camera, 256MB RAM / 512MB ROM, 600 MHz Qualcomm 8250 processor, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a G-sensor, and you’ve got the makings of one fine smartphone. Of course, Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional will be the OS of choice (likely with HTC’s TouchFLO 3D UI making things look generally more pretty). Unfortunately, with 3G (UMTS/HSPA) support on only the 900Mhz and 2100Mhz frequency bands, we won’t be seeing this bad-boy hitting US shores anytime in the near future.
