UK: Acer F1 coming to town on 6th October

Techwatch.co.uk has picked up an interesting piece on the release date of the Acer F1 – which will co-incidentally be the same date that WinMo 6.5 launches!
The date in question is 6th October, and although the F1 could be big news for the UK, Verizon is doing it US-style on the same day by launching the HTC Imagio on the same day. Makes you wonder if Microsoft have been doing some co-ordinated marketing, doesn’t it? 🙂
For those that are a bit memory-lite (like me), then the F1 is a Qualcomm-powered beast, clocking in what seems to be the new standard for high-end smartphones: 1GHz. In addition to that, there is a 3.8 inch touchscreen, and 5MP camera – all very respectable.
Of course, WinMo 6.5 is somewhat of a stop-gap until the bigger news of WinMo 7 arrives, packing a bunch of new features.
