WildCharge to release wireless charger next month?

Imagine a world without wires. Most of us already have wireless connections at homes, but the computer is still connected with the cable to the power outlet. Is that about to change? I for one reason hope it will — cause cables suck!

WildCharge

Arizona-based WildCharge, Inc. promises to take the wires out of charging by releasing their WildCharger early next month. The technology requires a small mat that plugs into the wall, as well as an adapter for your device(s) to make them compatible.

I’m not exactly sure how this will work, but stories around the Web suggest that wireless charges will use Nikola Tesla‘s technologies and patents from the beginning of the last century. If that’s true, I wonder why it took so long?
