My girlfriend is thinking to get herself an iPhone and as she’s not too tech savvy, I’m thinking I’ll need tons of time to educate her how to use her new device when she grabs one. Thank God for the books – just when I was thinking I’ll grab her a book, a PR gal from Pearson Education informed me there’s a new iPhone guide available called My iPhone.
Here’s what’s it all about:
My iPhone provides simple yet complete information on getting the most from this device. Although compact in size, it provides readers with the information they need to make the iPhone an important part of their life quickly and easily. The book uses a “learn by doing” approach and includes only the background and technical detail needed to make the iPhone do what the reader wants it to. Lots of full color step-by-step instructions guide the reader from iPhone novice to iPhone master.
It sure sounds like a regular PR crap, but I like the “how to” portions, which will apparently help users learn how to connect to Internet, sync their data, use Safari, SMS, listen to music, watch movies, customize the device, install and manage iPhone apps, etc. In a nutshell, all those things I would have to answer, and I don’t want to. 🙂
So I’ll be getting her this book and get back to you to report whether it works or not. I certainly hope it does. 😉
