Nokia 5500 Sport“On the bank of Iceland’s world-famous Blue Lagoon, the Nokia 5500 Sport leaped into the world arena, displaying its sleek, sporty design with an athletic lifestyle appeal.”

Nice introduction from Nokia and cute phone for young people overall. It will run on S60 3rd edition platform and you will have an access to Java and Symbian applications from Nokia Software Market.

Very important to mention are Nokia 5500 modes. A single button serves to activate three dedicated “modes” – a phone mode to stay in touch, the music mode to unwind or power-up, and the sports mode to help you break a sweat.

Highlights

  • Text to speech capabilities – phone reads out your SMS messages, increasing ease of use while on the move
  • Stainless steel body for enhanced durability with resistance to shock, water, and dust elements
  • Integrated MP3 player with FM radio
  • Integrated 2.0-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom
  • 3D Accelerometer monitors your sports performance; get instant audio feedback by tapping the screen
