Elecite, one of my favorite design houses for BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Themes has released a new animated background theme… the first of its kind. The theme features a pulsating background, which can be turned off or on at any time (thankfully!). With this theme installed, you’ll also get some very custom notifications and multiple custom icon slots among other things. Official description from the good folks at Elecite:

Plasma is our very first animated background theme and boy is it pretty! You’ll have a gently moving wallpaper that you can trigger on or off behind all of your icons. 11-12 customizable icons on the homescreen as well as a weather slot will keep you busy. The icons in this theme are very different and show a magnified view of your app! It’s also wallpaper friendly so you can use your own wallpaper without anything being in the way. A cool new feature is the star-shaped message notifier in the middle, which turns red when you’ve got a message to read and are not aware of it!

To load this one up, you’ll need a minimum of OS 5.0. For all the details and to purchase ($6.99), head on over to Elecite.
