Photo of the Day: Mobile phones charging in Chile

Boston.com has a fantastic weekly series called “The Big Picture” that features between 30 and 40 images depicting scenes from current events. This week’s edition was focused on Chile, and how it looks like 3 days after their massive earthquake. As expected, they’re devastating, but this image below of people charging their mobile phones makes a point how far we’ve come to depend on those little pieces of plastic and metal we carry with us everywhere.

At IntoMobile we have multiple writers, each with their preferred smartphone platform, each making fun of the other’s mobile device, and in some cases each other’s mother, but at the end of the day we know that calling and texting are the two most important features.

Android fanboi, iPhone fanboi, Windows Mobile fanboi, whatever, we’re mobile phone fanbois. Period.
