AT&T brings Dell’s first smartphone to the US market; say hello to the Android powered Aero

AT&T has announced that they’re going to be brining the Dell Aero to customers “soon” for a yet to be announced price. We do have photos however, and a minor list of specifications: 3.5 inch screen with 640 x 360 resolution, 5 megapixel camera, and GPS. The UI was built by AT&T and Dell together, and while it does look pretty, we’re going to have to wait till our reporters at the show come back with a preliminary hands on.

My biggest question this thing is how will Android applications handle this new, weird resolution? Most Android devices are either 320 x 480 pixels, or 800 x 480. This is going to be yet another screen resolution that developers have to support. Also, what version of Android does this thing run?

Anyway, we’re just happy to see this thing finally on the market. We’ve been hearing rumours about an Android powered Dell device for years, and while it did launch in China and Brazil, Americans and Europeans were wondering when it would land on their shores.
