Motorola takes on two new Board of Director members – Anthony Vinciquerra and Greg Brown increase Motorola’s Board to unlucky 13

Motorola announces two new board of directors - no 13 lucky membersThere are few cases where more is not better. More money, more toys, more love, more shoes(?) – we’d all agree that those are pretty much better in quantity. But, when it comes to the number of people trying to steer an embattled corporation into the green, more is not better.

Apparently, Motorola doesn’t agree. The struggling handset-manufacturing once-giant has taken on a couple new members to its Board of Directors. Anthony Vinciquerra and Greg Brown will bump the Board-member-count to an unlucky 13. Will this work to Moto’s advantage? Probably not, but we’re rooting for Moto – if only out of pure nostalgia for the good old days when Moto was and “it” player in the mobile world.

Motorola’s already on the right path with their Mobile Linux platform, MOTOMAGX. Let’s see if the “unlucky 13” of Directors can keep the Moto-ship steered in the right direction.
