F-SecureFour mobile threats were detected in September, according to F-Secure.

Wesber.A
The first virus detected in September was Wesber.A. It is a Java 2 Micro Edition based Java Midlet that contains a russian phone number to which it sends SMS messages. The sending function attempts to send the SMS message five times and then quits. Each of the messages will be charged and each message requires user’s approval.

Unlock.A
Unlock.A is a pseudonym for a program designed to disable the Phone Lock protection on some Symbian OS phones. This utility software bypasses the phone locking mechanism. Unlock.A is copied into a MMC card in a system folder. When the MMC card containing Unlock.A is inserted into a phone with the phone lock enabled, it overwrites the phone lock information disabling the phone lock.

Flerprox.A
Flerprox.A is a malicious SIS file trojan that installs executable files into the device. The files cause the device to restart on the installation. In addition to the system restart components, Flerprox.A creates a file that crashes FExplorer, a third-party file manager application.

Romride.J
The fourth virus detected in September was Romride.J, which is a variant of Romride family.
