MetrO 5.6.2 released; UIQ and/or its shareholders should sponsor the UIQ 3 version

MetrO 5.6.2 releasedI don’t know have you got a chance to try out MetrO, but it’s one neat (and free) application. Basically, it allows you to get around public transportation systems in a number of cities around the world. To put it in other words — I can’t live without it while I’m travelling!

The new version (or that’s new city files) adds new networks, including several cities in Slovakia, but also includes major city changes in Buenos Aires, Caracas, Grenoble, Lyon, Marseille, Melbourne, and Rhein-Neckar; as well as minor changes in other cities. In addition, MetrO 5.6.2 fixes some known bugs and improves the overall stability of the application.

But the point I’m trying to make is that UIQ should sponsor the development of the UIQ 3 version (for both touch and non-touch UIs) of the MetrO application. It’s just one handy application which I’m sure many Sony Ericsson and Motorola (Z8) Symbian-based smartphone owners are eagerly waiting. Please, UIQ do something about it! 😉
