In CeBIT 2008
For those of you gadget-heads that don’t get enough of a fix at MWC (Mobile World Congress, formerly known as 3GSM), CeBIT only a few weeks in Hannover, Germany.
The main difference between the two shows is that whereas MWC is more of an Telecoms industry show (and is located in the very lovely Barcelona), CeBIT is a more general consumer electronics show.
Having been to both a number of times in my line of work, I would suggest if you can, you try and get to both at some point – because they offer very different things.
Anyhow, this year CeBIT is being held from the 4th to the 9th, in Hannover – and there are 27 (yes, 27!) halls of electronics goodness! Below you can see a plan of the site – for us, Hall 26 is the one with the Mobile goodies, although some companies such as Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) will probably have their own porta-cities (real BIG temporary structures) outside the halls:
So that’s it – just a heads-up for now that this big European CES is coming, and to sort ou your mode of transport, clean clothes, food, and time of work, so that you can attend!
