HTC has released the kernel source for its shiny new HTC One smartphone, which is now available for download from HTCDev. If you’re not developer looking to tweak things, you don’t care about this sort of things. HTC announced a new smartphone in its own backyard – Desire L. Verizon has deployed 4G LTE service in five new markets today, lighting up El Centro, CA; Fort Dodge, IA; Middlesboro/Harlan and Paducah, KY; and East Liverpool, OH. Verizon is continuing to roll out its 4G LTE service in suburban and rural areas, covering over 95% of its 3G service areas with 4G LTE. AT&T has released a small, bug-fixing update for the HTC One X+, bringing the firmware version to 1.19.502.1. Sadly, the new software doesn’t include Android 4.2, but you’ll get Address Book, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi tweaks, as well as other minor bug fixes. A new HTC device has been spotted today, touting an Ultrapixel camera and an interesting spec sheet, similar to that of the HTC First. The device, known as the HTC606w has recently passed regulatory approval in China. After a delay in the launch of the HTC One due to component shortages, T-Mobile has now confirmed that the new HTC flagship handset will be available on their network on the 24th of April. The smartphone will be available in select stores and online, and will also support Wi-Fi calling. T-Mobile customers who have been salivating for the HTC One were thrown a couple of bones today, and they’re pretty juicy ones too. Earlier in the day, TmoNews reported on a leaked picture that details T-Mobile’s display plans for the HTC One in their retail stores, with a release date of April 24th on the plan.
