Just after the recent review of Nokia N80, we have another (not mine again) review of a great phone. This time it’s the ultimate N92 and is reviewed by Jukka Eklund, editor of S60 Multimedia Blog and a great guy (he linked to SymbianWatch).
You’re probably aware of the fact that this is probably one of the best Nokia (NYSE: NOK) handsets. It sports most of the features Nokia N80 has, plus it’s really good with video.
I won’t bug you much. After all it’s not my review. I’ll just add that Jukka so far haven’t tested the mobile TV function (DVB-H) and still finds lots to like in N92. Go read the review.

Now, that’s a phone. If you’re not familiar with Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N80, you’re probably not interested in the smartphones and therefor I don’t know what are you doing on this site.
Anyway, Nokia N80 is a really great phone which features:
- Symbian 9.1 OS S60 3rd Edition,
- 3 megapixel camera,
- hi-resolution display,
- miniSD card slot expansion,
- FM radio, and
- all the advanced connectivity technologies such as quad-band GSM, 3G UMTS, EDGE, and Wi-Fi.
Now the sad part. I wasn’t the one who did the review.
(Nokia and Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) people, help me spread the love. I’ll review your phones.)
Two reviews are available (probably more, but these two I’ve read): One from All About Symbian, probably the best Symbian resource site, and GSM Arena, ultimate guide to the GSM phones. Check that out – and get one for yourself.
UPDATE: CNet and Business Week also reviewed the N80.

We’ve already seen this in Australia. Now the same thing comes to the Asian market, as all the multimedia phones and smartphones from Nokia (NYSE: NOK) will now be pre-loaded with popular Yahoo applications. This will enable consumers to have access to a range of popular services including messenger, e-mail, search, connections, photos, ringtones and games.
Yahoo’s mobile application “Yahoo Go” would be free for buyers of Nokia Nseries and S60 smartphones and customers would only have to pay for accessing the web on their handsets.
The existing N70, Nokia 6680, Nokia 6681 and Nokia 6630 owners will be able to download the Yahoo! Go application on their existing handsets.

“New Love Meetings“, the new feature-length (93-minute) documentary on love and sex, will be shoot with a standard cell phone camera. Well, not exactly standard – it’s Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N90, a smartphone with Carl-Zeiss 2 megapixel video camera.
The movie is created as a modern version of the 1965 documentary “Love Meetings” by Pier Paolo Pasolini and is the first feature film to be entirely shot with mobile phone.
Low costs (project cost only a few thousand dollars) and greater flexibility were among the reasons why authors decided to use a cell phone… CNN has a complete story.

Award-winning actor and film-maker, Gary Oldman today unveiled a pioneering new mobile video initiative, the Nokia Nseries Studio, and announced plans to shoot a short film with the new Nokia N93 multimedia computer, also introduced today.
Advanced mobile video devices like the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N93 offer the unique ability to capture and share spontaneous instants in everyday life. To encourage people to shoot and share these moving moments, Nokia has created the Nokia Nseries Studio, a new interactive online community for mobile movies.
Gary Oldman, the director and an actor, leads an international cast of creative visionaries who are shooting mobile movies for the Nokia Nseries Studio on a Nokia N93. They are all tasked with producing short films based on the theme of ‘open your eyes’ – capturing the everyday moments that tell a touching, compelling or provoking story about the world we live in.
Today and regularly over the next few months, a selection of these mobile movies will be premiered on the Nokia Nseries Studio where they’re available for downloading to mobile devices or PCs. In the summer, Nokia is planning to open up the site so people can upload and showcase their own mobile short films.
Nice, now all we need is the Nokia N93, and we’re ready!
