iPhone 3G – Black and White

iPhone 3G Black and WhiteBlack or White? Black or White.

If you stood in line for a chance to be one of the first people to get their hands on Apple’s next-generation iPhone 3G, then the decision to get a Black or White iPhone 3G was probably racking your single-tracked mind for a good while. Of course, that’s assuming you opted for the higher-capacity iPhone 3G 16GB, which is the only version to be available in White.

Sure, the White iPhone 3G is more exclusive and proves to the world that you’ve got an extra 8GB of storage under the shiny white (ceramic?) housing. But, is it the best fit for you?

Well, as some of you watching our live streaming broadcast probably already witnessed, both my significant other and I were debating which color to get. I had initially wanted to get White, but that changed. Somehow, she convinced me that Black was a better fit for me – Black would match my car, and it’s a more masculine color. Nevermind that she didn’t want us to both be rocking same-colored iPhone 3Gs. You gotta love how couples make decisions.

Anyway, seeing as how I have a Black iPhone 3G and Sarah has a White iPhone 3G, I thought our readers would like to see a back-to-back comparison of the iPhone 3G in both Black and White. Which handset is the best fit for you? Well, that’s entirely your decision, but hit up our gallery for a few comparison shots of both handsets side-by-side. You can see both colors in different lighting conditions (simulated) to get an idea for how they look in real life.

Oh, and noticed the included SIM card tray-tool. Gone are the days of an official paper-clip solution from Apple, we’re rockin’ purpose-made SIM tray-tools, folks!
