Another city-branded Android smartphone will be unveiled by Orange. After San Francisco, Barcelona and Monte Carlo – the British branch of the France Telecom-owned operator will launch the Orange Stockholm. Despite the fact Stockholm is one of the richest big cities of Europe, Orange decided to associate the city with an entry-level device. As a matter of fact, we’re talking about the special version of the Huawei U8160, which is also offered by Vodafone as Vodafone SMART. However, the device Orange sells is slightly improved, rocking a 3.2-megapixel instead of 2-megapixel camera. Rest of the specs are unchanged and include such things as a 2.8-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 528MHz processor, 256MB of RAM coupled with 512MB of ROM, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack and a microSD card slot.
Orange will offer Stockholm both on Pay as you go and with contract, which [the contract option] will most likely include giving away the device along with some 10-15 GBP a month plan.
