More than 200 applications for S60 3rd Edition available

Nokia reports that the developers are delighted how the migration to the S60 3rd edition platform is easy, and they find the device compatibility and security improvements a plus.

Early adopters say that it’s obvious S60 3rd Edition will be a hit. So far, according to Nokia, developers have released more than 200 applications for S60 3rd Edition. Forum Nokia S60 3rd Edition Challenge received more than 115 enterprise, music, location-based services (LBS), and Macromedia Flash Lite application submissions.

Furthermore, developers see the new platform as a major improvement over S60 2nd Edition. Scalable user interface with landscape support, enhanced security, overall speed increase… are just few of the qualities mentioned by developers…
