Gizmodo got the hot piece of information we’ve been waiting for. Apparently, the Pearl’s successor is coming in Q4 this year, and will be smaller than ever — nearly 8mm less in depth, and 30% lighter. Furthermore, the Pearl 2 will also boast a better 2 MP camera (an upgrade from the existing 1.3 megapixels), as well as the support for high speed data transfer (EV-DO). Plus, there’s the “new unbelievable form factor”, something that leave us speculating whether it will be a slider or a clamshell device.
The question remains – is RIM about to introduce a new hit device? It seems likely. What do you think?
