Do you love the features and functionality of the Nokia E90 Communicator but don’t love the styling of the device? Well HTC has the answer to the slightly utilitarian Nokia E90. Enter the HTC Omni. The new sleekly-styled and 3G packed HTC Omni Communicator has everything that we look for in a mobile communicator – and looks reminiscent of the Ultimate 7150. We have to give it up for the E90 Communicator – it’s the original and still the best (for now) mobile computing handset out there. But, with the HTC Omni coming on the scene in October, we’re putting our money on the newcomer’s success.
The Omni has been mulling around the rumor mill for some time now, so we’re ecstatic to finally hear that the 3G-enabled Windows Mobile 6.0Â device will be hitting the US in October 2007. The Unwired View got their hands on an HTC roadmap that gives insight to the Omni’s specs. We’re expecting this slick communicator to rock a 4 inch display, UMTS/HSDPA data, TV/VGA out, Bluetooth, USB, 802.11 b/g wifi, full qwerty-keyboard, and GPS/AGPS receiver – all running under WM6 in a 16mm thick body! You really can’t get any better than that!
The glossy finish and clean, minimalistic design really make the HTC Omni seem like the high-end device it is. The picture you see is a rendering of the Omni, but if the retail product looks anything like this thing, we can’t wait!
