Parallels Desktop Beta adds iPhone supportWe know, there’s a bit of irony in syncing your Apple iPhone with Windows Vista/XP through your Mac. Nevertheless, with the new Parallels Desktop Beta, Mac-using iPhone owners can now sync with Outlook without the need to reboot into Windows, and keeps you from having to hoof it over to your Windows machine (what, doesn’t every Mac user have an extra Windows machine in the house?). So, if Outlook is your thing, then download the new beta – it’s free for all trial and registered users of Parallels Desktop 3.0.

As if iPhone support wasn’t enough, Parallels decided to spiff up their interface a bit as well. Coherence windows now work with Expose – which means that Windows application windows will display as a separate windows under the Mac’s Expose feature. Every individual windows, whether it’s a Mac or Windows window, is now selectable and even rendered with cool Mac features like drop-shadows. Now that’s slick!
