Vodafone nixes Windows Mobile 920 handset

Vodafone silently pulls Vodafone 920 off lineupNot that we were all that excited for Vodafone to launch their Windows Mobile slider from HTC (HTC Kii?), but we thought a few of you out there might want to know that the Vodafone 920 has been pulled from Vodafone’s lineup.

Vodafone gave no reason for killing the Vodafone 920, but we’re figuring it might have something to do with certification tests or maybe some conflicting product offerings. Whatever the reason, we hope you weren’t planning on grabbing a Vodafone 920 for yourself, you’ll just have to make do with another HTC-based Windows Mobile device. Take a look at the T-Mobile Shadow, it’s fairly similar to the Vodafone 920 – all may not be lost (of course, the two are offered in different markets, so we’ll leave the importing up tot you).

Come to think of it, Vodafone may have done you a favor, with all those incredible WinMo offerings (especially from HTC) on the market, you’d do better with less choices.
