Apple to announce iPhone debut in Canada later today?

After hearing a few rumors about the iPhone’s debut in Canada in the past, today we may have some real information from the man himself. According to Bloomberg, Jobs&Co will announce a partnership with Canada’s Rogers Wireless, the country’s largest mobile service provider, and bring iPhone to its brothers and sisters on the North.

RBC Capital Markets analyst Mike Abramsk said “There’s a very good chance that Apple will announce or discuss some kind of other carrier roll-outs, beyond the ones it has done in Europe and the U.S.” Yeah sure, the only problem is that we’ve heard this all before. Besides, with the population of roughly 33 million people, Canada may not look that attractive to the Jobs’ grand plans. Why not go Spain or Japan instead? Still, Canada a respectable market and we’re honestly hope there’s some truth in Mike’s words.
