By now it’s clear that Canadians will officially welcome the iPhone through the country’s Rogers wireless network. The Apple iPhone is expected to hit Rogers in the near-term, but it remains to be seen just how much the iPhone will cost in Canada.
Still, there’s good news for our iPhone-longing friends to the North. Electronista is reporting that Rogers may allow the iPhone to surf the web using its $7 unlimited data plan. The web-browsing plan allows all Rogers devices to surf the web with no limit for just $7 a month. If Rogers does indeed allow the iPhone’s more capable Safari browser to make use of one of the world’s cheapest unlimited data plans, it could prove to be a huge draw for potential iPhone customers in Canada.
Now, we wait for Apple to drop the 3G iPhone bomb on The States…
