Some time ago, Vietnam has required prepay SIM card registration and since carriers failed to register all users, the deadline has been extended. MobiFone extended its deadline to January 5th, while VinaPhone continues the registration until January 6th.
MobiFone has opened 15,000 counters across the country and has managed to register 20 million subscribers so far, leaving around one million unregistered.
