If you’ve been eying one of those new Fender Edition variants of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G more for its 3.5mm headphone jack and less for its wannabe guitar-wood finish, we’ve got some good news for you. There’s a rumored update to the myTouch 3G coming down the pipeline that will apparently sport a 3.5mm headphone jack without forcing the Fender Edition’s decidedly more conspicuous case design on you. The “myTouch 3G 1.2,” as it’s called will offer the same headphone-friendly jack in the same color choices we’ve come to know and love on the original myTouch 3G.
This new myTouch 3G 1.2 has been spotted online through an eBay auction. It’s good to see the solid white-colored handset proudly showing off its standard headphone jack. There’s no fake wood-grain finish, there’s no “Fender” branding – just a plain MT3G with headphone compatibility. When the MT3G 1.2 goes live in a few weeks, you’ll have one less reason to not pick up a new Android phone!
If you just can’t wait for the MT3G 1.2 to launch, here’s a link to the eBay auction.
