Motorola Renew+ Set For Launch on Fido Any Day Now

Although not available YET, look for the Motorola W388 Renew+ to be ready for prime time any day now. Fido has added the device to their website, even though the product is listed as ‘not in stock’… for now. When it does become official, look for it to go for the more than reasonable price of $15 on a 2-year contract, or $65 straight up.

The Motorola W388 Renew+ is one of the many ‘green’ devices popping into the market these days. It’s made from 25% post-consumer recycled plastics… And when I say recycled plastics, I mean old 5 gallon water jugs (seriously). The housing is also 100% recyclable, so when you’re done with it you’ll have piece of mind knowing that not ALL of the darn thing is going into a landfill. In fact, the darn thing comes with a prepaid recycling envelope. When you’re done with it, drop it in the mail and you’re done. Easy.

Key features of the Renew+ include a VGA camera with 4x zoom, FM radio, MP3 player, microSD expansion to 2GB, speakerphone, 1.6″ display (128×128) and more. For all the details head on over to Fido.
