If you’re a T-Mobile subscriber with a Motorola CLIQ in your pocket, you’re probably chomping at the bit for some Android 2.1 (Eclair) love from Motorola. The bad news is that you’ll have to keep waiting it out until Moto gets the Android OS 2.1 update out to Droid users first, but there’s some good news in the way of a CLIQ software update that improves battery life, touchscreen accuracy, and QuickOffice 2. T-Mobile is currently rolling out the CLIQ 1.3.18 software to all its CLIQ users with an over-the-air (OTA) update.
You might remember T-Mobile’s update-snafu from a last month that resulted in some CLIQ users getting a mysterious software update before it was ready for primetime. Well, this 1.3.18 update seems to be the second coming of the December slip-up. With each interim update, Motorola seems to be fixing battery life, touchscreen issues and various other minor bugs with the CLIQ’s Android OS, and this latest update is no exception. It’s no Eclair, but at least you’ll get more accurate touchscreen inputs and the new QuickOffice 2 app!
If you haven’t yet gotten the update, sit tight, T-Mobile will get around to you eventually. Check out the full changelog here.
