Good news for all the HTC Tattoo owners out there. Just because you have the least powerful Android smartphone, it doesn’t mean HTC has forgotten you. Unlike Samsung (referring to the i7500 model), HTC takes good care of its customers, hence you could expect to be blessed with an Android 2.1 update in due course. Here’s what they said:

“Kindly note that now we understand that a phone running Android OS 2.1 is available that you are excited to get an update for your Tattoo. We are still working hard to Sense for building this new version but we expect to have the upgrade finished and ready to go soon. Please understand that it takes time to customize any Android release to Ensure You Have The Sense provides intuitive experience, and we hope you can be patient for just a little while longer.”

The exact release date of the Android 2.1 update is unknown, as you can figure out from the statement above. As soon as we hear something on that front, you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned…
