Qualcomm, GreenRoad team-up to offer complete mobile resource management and driver safety solution

Qualcomm and GreenRoad (driver safety and efficiency service provider) signed an agreement to offer the “first integrated solution that addresses mobile resource management (MRM), safety and driving behavior.” The solution combines Qualcomm’s GPS-enabled Service Fleet Manager and the GreenRoad 360 service, enabling fleets to better manage their assets, gain greater fuel efficiency and improve safety.

In real world, fleets would install a single in-vehicle hardware platform, use one data plan, and access fleet management and “driving behavior improvement” applications. On the monetary front, this kind of solution could reduce cost by as much as 20 percent and require less administration.

Initially, the new solution is available for commercial vehicle fleets in North America and the United Kingdom, but I’m sure it will be offered in other markets in no time.

And if you need more information on how Service Fleet Manager and GreenRoad 360 work together to deliver value to fleets, there’s a dedicated page on Qualcomm’s website detailing every aspect of the solution.
