Here we are joining the iPad hype, as we cover one of the first announced applications for the device which still has to start selling (on April 3rd). The company is called Neutrinos and their product – Rock Show. Once released — and that should happen soon after iPad hits the storeshelves — it will allow fans to browse through limited edition concert posters and eventually buy them.
The company says that iPad’s big screen is ideal for such an app, though I think even the iPhone or iPod Touch could “do the job” just as fine.
Neutrinos said that in most cases the posters will be shipped to the purchaser by the artist or design studio that originally created them. In that sense, the company’s CEO, Rob Banagale, sees Rock Show as a new retail channel for artists.
Finally, in addition to showing the poster artwork, Rock Show will also feature links to Wikipedia and iTunes store, allowing users to get more information and grab that song or even a complete album.
In the meantime, until it hits the AppStore, you can get more information about Rock Show from a dedicated website.
