Gameloft has just announced they’ll be releasing the iPhone version of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction On May 27th, 2010, which is less than 2 weeks away.
If you played the console version, then you’ll be very familiar with the iPhone version as it’s said to recreate the console experience. You’ll be able to perform many of the moves found in the console version such as the Mark & Execute, Last Known Position, & Silent Kill. As with all Splinter Cell games, stealth is the key here so be sure to take cover whenever you can.
A brand-new level exclusive to the iPhone version of Splinter Cell: Conviction will also be included and will take players through the Potomac River in a rail-shooting sequence.
Having completed the console version of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, I’m interested in seeing just how well Gameloft can recreate that experience to work on the iPhone platform. They did a good job with shooters in the past with N.O.V.A., as well as Brothers In Arms 2: Global Front, but as I mentioned earlier, Splinter Cell is mostly about stealth action. If your actions are off by a second, it could very well get you caught by the enemy and things could get messy.
