Juicy Development is bringing its Police Scanner to the Android market. Initially, the application was available for the iPhone only, and now the Android smartphone owners can join the “action” and listen to police, fire and EMS activities around the world.
Unlike other emergency scanner applications (I didn’t there was such a category, nor that’s legal at all, BTW), Police Scanner rocks adaptive technology that apparently allows updates to data streams to post “live” within a few hours of changes made. This is important feature as emergency data streams can change quickly.
At the moment, Police Scanner comes with more than 2,300 national and international EMS streams, offering the largest selection streams, with new streams being added on a daily basis.
For this endeavor, Juicy Development has partnered with RadioReference.com, which provides a large number of streams, but has also took a step further to constantly add new streams that no one else has…
Police Scanner runs on WiFi, 3G, and/or even EDGE, and is compatible with all Android devices. It can be purchased for $2.99 from the Android Market.
