Except if you live in South Korea (which is highly unlikely considering our logs), you will be able to grab a new low-end Samsung slider – A110. The entry-level 3G device will be available through two of the leading mobile operators in the country – SK Telecom (A110S) and KT (A110K).
It’s important to note that a low-end handset in Korea means something completely different than in the rest of the world. For one thing, T-DMB mobile TV is increasingly becoming a must-have feature, and the A110 delivers on that front. In addition, there’s a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, 2-megapixel camera that’s coupled with front-facing VGA camera, Bluetooth, media player, subway maps and, of course, a microSD memory card slot.
No word on pricing, nor whether Samsung will ever export this baby outside of Korean peninsula. If we hear something on that front, you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned in the meantime…
