It’s that time of year again when our friends at VentureBeat put together their annual MobileBeat conference in San Francisco, and we’re proud to say that we’ve teamed up with them once again to offer discount passes to our readers. We’d also like to put a call out to all mobile startups in Silicon Valley (and beyond) to submit their company for a chance to present live, on stage, at the MobileBeat 2010 Startup Competition. This, dear mobile entrepreneur, is your chance to put your idea in front of some of the most valuable eyes in the business, and possibly have some fun at the same time!
MobileBeat is in its third year of bringing together mobile industry executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and developers under one roof. This year, the event will be held at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco during July 12-13. And, to help ensure diverse and innovative presentations, our friends at VentureBeat want your help in nominating the Top 20 hottest startups, who will present live onstage at the MobileBeat 2010 Startup Competition.
To log your vote on which 20 companies deserve some time in the spotlight, go here and vote for the cream of the crop. The two startups with the most votes will automatically become finalists; joining 18 other startups hand-picked by VentureBeat as hot companies in the mobile industry. Vote now, because the nomination process ends June 21.
To qualify, a startup must fit into one of two categories: mobile applications or mobile infrastructure/ services. This year shows the most promising batch of startups yet, with submissions still pouring in. The startups who make the MobileBeat Top20 will get an amazing opportunity to present in front of industry, press, investors, and an expert panel of judges live at the event. Special consideration will be given to companies that plan to publicly launch their service at the MobileBeat 2010 event, so expect to see some big-time surprises and exciting innovations.
