JayBird’s SB2 Sportsband Bluetooth headphones look cool for running

These days I’ll need to grab myself a pair of new Bluetooth headphones. I was thinking to buy some of the so called “active” models that I could use while in a gym or when jogging, and at the moment my top pick is the Motorola S9-HD (if you have any comments about them, I would appreciate to post them in the form below).

Then I got an email from JayBird that talks about their latest Bluetooth headset – SB2 Sportsband. It’s pretty much in the “category” of products I’m looking for, hence I decided to rant about it in public. Bare in mind that I still haven’t tried these, all I got was a press release.

First, the SB2 Sportsband looks cool, and is even available in multiple colors — including Limonade Green, Sonic Blue, Orange Crush, Runner’s Red, Toffee Apple Red, Midnight Black, Polar Blue, PowderPuff Pink, Snow White. There are also some noise reduction technologies included, bass-rich sound, CD quality streaming and (very important for me) Lifetime Warranty Against Sweat.

All in all, it looks perfect on the paper, but will I grab these headphones? Nope. I like in-ear headsets to be more focused on what I listen. The problem is that I’m a big podcast and audiobook fan and I discovered that in-ear headsets work best for me.

If you don’t dig in-ear headphones (I know few people who hate them) and you need an “active” headphone, Jaybird’s product may be the one you’ll love. They are asking $99 for the SB2 Sportsband and you can get additional details from their website…
