As you may know, I’m a big fan of giving some space to the small guy. Hence I try my best to cover smaller carriers on IntoMobile. On that note, we bring you this news item involving SouthernLINC Wireless, which has announced the launch of the Beautiful South Photo Contest.
The contest invites 18+ year old residents of Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi to submit up to five original, scenic photos and compete for cash prizes. One grand prize winner will take home $2,000, one first place winner will receive $500 and three honorable mentions will win $100 each. In addition, the winner will have the opportunity to have their photo featured as a wallpaper download for SouthernLINC Wireless phones.
The carrier is launching the contest as part of a campaign to promote its new $8 a month Unlimited Picture Messaging service, which launched June 28th.
You can submit a photo until August 31st. Ten finalists will be selected from all eligible entries, and then, from September 13th until October 13th, the public will vote for their favorite finalist. Contest winners will be announced by November 12, 2010…
