Sprint wants to make it easier for you to manage your wireless account and the third-largest U.S. carrier has launched a Sprint Zone app for the EVO 4G, Samsung Intercept and BlackBerry Bold.
The Sprint Zone app allows customers to use their handsets to pay bills, monitor mobile usage, and receive news and potentially deals on new products. You can also get phone tips and tricks, suggested apps and more with this app. The app will come preloaded on the home screen of devices like the Epic 4G and Motorola i1.
It’s not really a mind-blowing app, but it is a useful one. The yellow carrier is not the only one to offer this kind of service, as Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile also allows its subscribers to manage their accounts through on-board apps.
“The Sprint Zone will be customers’ mobile source for accessing account information, learning about their device and discovering applications that will enhance their experience with Sprint,” said Len Barlik, vice president of wireline and wireless services for the carrier, in a prepared statement. “We are excited to offer customers who are always on-the-go an interactive and relevant mobile application that allows them to manage their account and discover new content any where and at any time.”
Is the Sprint Zone app appealing enough to get you to buy the EVO 4G? It probably shouldn’t be, but our full, in-depth review could be just the ticket. Oh man, that was a good transition, right?
