MindMeister now optimized for the iPad

MindMeister, which is a web-based mind mapping service, has been optimized for the iPad. Initially, the application has been only stretched for the larger screen of Apple’s tablet, but now we’re talking about a brand new app that packs some features the original iPhone app lacks.

Here are some of the cool, new features:

  • Automatic syncing of iPad mind maps – MindMeister will allow you to keep writing and drawing even when you’re not connected to the Internet only to sync the data with your online account at a later point (when Internet connection is on again).
  • Ability to share mind maps directly from the device
  • Add icons, colors and styles
  • Full drag and drop support, as well as zoom in and out
  • Add maps to favorites
  • Insert ideas quickly as “Geistesblitzes”
  • Time Machine function that enables unlimited undo/redo
  • Import from MindManager, Freemind and text files
  • Export as MindManager, Freemind, MS Word, PDF and image files

In a nutshell, if you’re using MindMeister’s web service, you’ll definitely want to have it on your iPad too. The AppStore link is below.
