Mysterious Pillars Appear in AT&T Stores, Sales Reps Discover Bone Tools

As if to herald the new Dawn of Man, or maybe just the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9800, pillars have popped up in a few AT&T stores in an elaborate teaser campaign. One side of the pillar  reads “innovation comes to life” and the other “Rethink Possible”. If such inspiring slogans do not move the ape-clerks to discover tools with which to defend their commission supply, surely nothing will.

Does anyone want to bet that the pillar is hiding the BlackBerry Bold 9800? The event is next Tuesday, where we’re expecting AT&T and RIM will launch OS 6 on the first sliding BlackBerry. Then again, it could be the Dell Streak, which is also coming soon to AT&T. And, as a particularly unique cross between an Android tablet and a smartphone, it could be worth putting on a pedestal. AT&T has also been talking a lot about Windows Phone 7 lately, although we though that wasn’t going live until the fall. It’s a tough call at the point (my money’s on the BlackBerry 9800), but whatever it is AT&T seems extra-willing to give it some premium visibility.
