Let’s face it, there are a lot of crazies out there in the world, some of which I work alongside each and every day – and some of those crazy people are out to do bad things to your iPhone-toting self. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a good tech gadget, but fear losing both that gadget and, oh, let’s say a pinky, then you might want to take note of this article as AMP (Advanced Mobile Protection) is announcing that their OnCall Defender app is now available for iPhone users concerned over their physical safety.
With OnCall Defender for the iPhone, users no longer have to cross the street when they see trouble headed their way. The app will connect you to a 24-hour monitoring station which will keep continuous track of you every ten seconds, with a direct line to law enforcement when you need it. The user need only activate the app’s panic alarm – or if stealth is a must, you can also activate a silent alarm which will be secretly sent to the messaging center – to alert the monitoring station that you’re in trouble. Not only can the app help in dangerous situations, but you can also subscribe to a EMS dispatch in case you need medical assistance right away. The service could be vital for people who feel their life is at risk due to their poor health or shady business dealings.
OnCall Defender is currently available for free on the iPhone App Store, but users will have to pay a monthly subscription for the service. Currently there are three service plans available: $6.99 per month for the panic alarm, $9.99 per month for the medical alert, and $11.99 for both services combined. If you feel you’re under a constant threat of attack, either in your work or personal life, or you feel you may need immediate medical assistance in the near future, or both, then give OnCall Defender a shot as it’s one of the few apps that could save your life.
Hey, just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you, right?
