Motorola Droid 2 training guide leaked, due to hit Verizon soon(ish)

Enough with all the teasing Verizon, can we just get the Motorola Droid 2 in our hands already? We have seen pictures of this thing quite a few times now, some impressive benchmarks, and other goodies to keep us on the edges of our seats, but we need more. To make the wait all the more painful, today we’re seeing the official training guide for the Motorola Droid 2 leaked out to the web. The good news is that we’re likely just a few weeks away from the release of one of the most anticipated Android phone successors.

Droid-Life nabbed the leaked guide, and the slide above is a small overview of Android 2.2 Froyo speed improvements, Flash 10.1 capabilities, and improved Exchange support. The Droid 2 is also come to market with the Motoblur-esque UI skin that’s found on the Droid X, so it’s not necessarily the stock Android experience, but Motorola’s new Android skin is nowhere near as in your face as the real Motoblur UI. While many phones are slated to receive Froyo in the coming weeks, or are already in the process, the Droid 2 looks like it will be the first device on Verizon, let alone the world, that will ship with Froyo pre-installed. This will change later on as new devices start coming out of the woodwork, but Verizon is pretty proud of being the first on this one.

With the best network, best version of Android in tow, and a solid Motorola Droid replacement, Verizon is in a great position to bring Android into the limelight once again. Android doesn’t necessarily need to remind anyone of it’s existence, as you’re going to find an Android device on every major network, but Verizon was the carrier to fully embrace the OS, and make the little green robot a household name. They may have a hard time doing this again, since devices like the Samsung Vibrant and Captivate, as well as the EVO 4G are all on competing carriers, and offer loads of superphone features. Still, Verizon has a solid Android line up with the Droid Incredible, X, and the upcoming Droid 2, so I doubt they are losing any sort of sleep at night.
