If the HTC Lexikon rings a bell, it’s probably because we first caught whiff of the device last month. Just a quick recap: It has a 5MP camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 3.8-inch display, a physical QWERTY keyboard and an 800MHz Snapdragon processor – or the very sexy MSM7630 (which is why we would have thought Verizon is a possibility given the chipset’s CDMA/HSPA+ capabilities). Now it’s looking even more like the device will be headed to Verizon Wireless.
According to AndroidGuys:
The first image/render to hit the internet comes from a source that has been a pretty reliable stream of Android leaks in the past. I have no reason to believe that the picture we’re looking at is faked. I’ve said it before: a vast majority of Android leaks prove to be legit, if only delayed once in a while. Further, there’s no internal alarm going off telling me the ROM below isn’t a signed Lexikon file.
The render sure does look like something HTC would put out, and apparently the render comes from a relatively reliable source. Additionally, an alleged Lexikon ROM has hit the web and Android nerds are ripping it apart now looking for clues.
At any rate, if I were waiting for a hot new HTC Android handset to hit Verizon, it would be the mystery smartphone we saw with a kickstand and 4.3-inch screen like the EVO 4G.
