The folks behind Nokia’s Ovi unveiled Oxfam Donate app for select Nokia touchscreen smartphone owners in the UK. Among devices supported, we find the following Nokia models: 5228, 5230, 5233, 5235 Comes With Music edition, 5250, 5530 XpressMusic, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, C6, X6, N97 mini, N97 and N8; with support for more devices (I presume) set to be rolled out in the future.
Using the new application you can take part in helping people from all around the world. Oxfam Donate is especially useful for donating to emergencies, but it can also be used for supporting various Oxfam projects.
To start donating, select a cause or emergency, get more information about the project and the support needed, pick the amount and the payment method (SMS or Paypal). And that’s it, you can already feel better for doing the right thing.
